the essential process guide

Green Guide to the Architect's Job Book

Client: 1st Edition, 2000, 2nd edition 2007

The Green Guide is authored by Sandy Halliday, Principal of Gaia Research. It is designed to move away from the idea that a sustainable building is a product and instead to identify the importance of developing a process. The first edition was published in 2000, and it was revised and republished in 2007.

Totally up-to-date and compatible with the Architect's job Book, the Green Guide nonetheless stands alone as a straightforward, practical aide-memoire based on hard-won experience in the real world for architects and, importantly, project managers and clients, many of whom re actively seeking sustainable buildings.

The Green Guide (process) alongside the training course documented in Sustainable Construction (design elements) underpins Gaia capacity building work with clients and design teams.
